These fire trucks are the largest vehicle operated at CGFR and are nicknamed “Tengines” because these tenders have all the necessary equipment to serve as a tender, engine, or rescue depending on what apparatus assignment is needed. Both “Tengines” hold 2500 gallons of water and usually serve as second out apparatus to provide the additional water needed to suppress structure fires in areas that don’t have access to hydrant systems. Tenders will often shuttle water from various fill sites to the emergency scene where it can be used to extinguish the fire. Both Tenders are also fully equipped with extrication equipment for motor vehicle emergencies.
